Can I repot an orchid an orchid with pseudobulbs now (mid November) in Southern California?

I found out in several sites how to do it (I'm very ignorant in this matter) but it says that they have to be repotted in early Spring, when they start a strong growth. The problem is that they are falling of the pot and the roots are breaking. They look baaad! Can I do it now without killing them? What is less damaging to the plants? I am in So Cal, in an intermediate zone between the valleys and the coast, about 15 m from Los Angeles.
