Would it be advantageous to take TOEFL or not?

It is your choice. It may open you up for more scholarships or financial aid. It might also get you some tutor or special needs istance at college. I am not sure that it is overall that advantageous for you. I would talk with a counselor at school and see what they suggest. They might be able to get you the appropriate help without taking the exam.
