Cleaning out sludge in a fuel injected motorcycle?
We are looking at buying a '06 Suzuki Boulevard C50 with about 2,300 miles on it. The owner hasn't used this bike very much and never used any fuel additive while the bike sat for long periods of time. Just by opening the tank and looking in we can see some sludge spots. Currently we have two older carbureted motorcycles ('80 and '85) that have had significant problems with fuel sludge and we are concerned how difficult it would be to clean a fuel injected system and was wondering how sludge effects a fuel injected motorcycle in comparison to a carbureted system?
