Unable to do missions in spore?

So I was trying to get everything (save Front Page News) and i am so close to doing it. however in my file I can't do any missions. I still get suddan missions like "your Homewold is being attacked", and i can do change archtype missions, but the normal ones i can't. need two more eradicate missions and a few more deliver ones, and that's it but i can't seem to do them. all the empiers just say that there's no missions that can be done. anyone know what to do?
